Psalms in Congregational Celebration

The psalms were written for use in the community of God’s people assembled for worship. All of the various workings of God’s grace in the life of his people call for celebration.

O. Palmer Robertson presents a study on twenty-five of the psalms providing useful insights into the Word of God. The author argues that originally the psalms were intended to be used with interactive congregational responses and he has translated them in this way.

The selection chosen reflects the variety of messages and structures found in the psalms themselves.
